Alignment, Growth and Direction
उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत् ।
आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः ॥
ātmaiva hy ātmano bandhur ātmaiva ripur ātmanaḥ
Lift yourself by your own self, and do not let yourself sink. The self alone is the friend of the self, and the self alone is its enemy. — Bhagavad Gītā 6.5
Astrology is about alignment, growth and direction
We read a chart as a study of alignment: between who you are, the work and relationships you choose, and the periods you are living through. A chart shows structure and timing. It does not rule on what will happen. What you do with it is karma in the sense of action, not fate.
Alignment
Where your actions and your nature pull in different directions, and where they agree.
Spiritual growth
In the Vedic view, a recurring difficulty is something to understand, not only to endure.
Direction
Dasha periods show which themes are active, which helps you decide when to push and when to consolidate.
What we don’t do: promise outcomes, predict death or accidents, or use fear to push remedies. That is the meaning of “clarity over predictions.”
Who should seek astrological guidance
It may help if you
• are at a career crossroads or feel misaligned with your work
• see the same pattern repeat across jobs or relationships
• are timing a major step such as a change of field, study or marriage
• want a structured, honest view of a decision
• are reflecting on yourself and want one more lens
It is not the right tool if you
• want a guaranteed prediction
• want someone else to make the decision for you
• are in acute distress or a mental health crisis, where a doctor or counsellor comes first
• are looking for a replacement for medical, legal or financial advice
